Once the betting round is over the dealer puts three more cards on the table that anyone can use. This is called the flop. Once everyone has a look at the flop they can decide whether to call, raise or fold.
If you have a strong poker hand it’s important that you can disguise it as a bad one. This way people will not be afraid to raise with you. For example if you have pocket kings and the flop comes A-8-5 then they will assume that you have a weak hand. This is why it’s so important to be able to read the board. This is what separates the good from the great.
